The objective of this course is to teach the aspirants about the safety technologies, environmental concerns, hazardous materials and ergonomics that affect various work environments. It covers the principles of safety engineering and the proper application of engineering methods for a safe work environment. Students also gain important knowledge regarding industrial safety requirements & principles, risk assessment, environmental impact, risk analysis and simulation and how to apply solutions to real-world engineering issues. The opportunities for this stream include careers in environmental health, fire protection, industrial hygiene and occupational safety.
